Gingerbread for the City is a Toronto-wide gingerbread house competition for Architecture Firms in support of the Red Door Family Shelter. Together, we have raised over $6000 to help families in need. The Red Door Family Shelter has been providing emergency shelter and support for women and children affected by domestic abuse, families experiencing a housing crisis, and refugee claimants with nowhere else to turn. If you would like to donate to the cause, please follow the link below.

All proceeds go to the Red Door Family Shelter, which since 1982 has been providing safe and supportive shelter to hundreds of families each year. They also offer counselling, life skills training, legal assistance, and ongoing support to help establish a stable life beyond the shelter.

Thank you to Give and Go for generously donating all of the gingerbread kits this year. We were able to donate extra kits to the Red Door Family Shelter as well.

Thank you to Scott Norsworthy for his time to photograph some of the entries.

Thank you to all the participating firms for donating their time and money to the cause:
